Tips
1. Arrive at the railway station at least 30 minutes in advance. And make sure to bring your passport and the train ticket before departur.2. Before getting onboard, you’d better bring some of your favorite food for the snacks and meals provided in the dining car may not be what you like.
3. There are not enough power outlets in the carriage. As a result, it is suggested to bring a power strip with you in that you can use it to charge your phone or your laptop when they run out of power.
History
On January 31th, 1954, Beijing - Moscow international trains were officially operated. At first, two pairs of trains were available between Beijing and Moscow every week, then the trains were rescheduled as three times a week. Till November 1st, 1969, the Beijing - Moscow trains were in service only once a week. The travel time was as long as 214 hours at that time.After 2000, train K19/ K20 ran at a higher speed and in 2008, the facilities in the train were updated, creating a more comfortable environment for passengers.
